  23. The problem is the Squirrel itself. It insists on waiting several seconds
  24. after a bus reset before doing anything. HiSoft claims this is to "insure
  25. compatibility with slow-responding devices." It's a driver/hardware thing.
  26. There's not really anything much you can do about it.

  28. The best you can do is to not use anything off the SCSI bus until the end
  29. of your startup-sequence and at the beginning, run mount and/or scsimounter
  30. asynchronously so the computer doesn't sit idle while waiting for the
  31. Squirrel to come up.
